As an Accredited Practising Dietitian Nutritionist, choosing a plant-based diet for human, animal and environmental health was a no-brainer for me.
But what happens during pregnancy? When my sister-in-law was pregnant with her first, she was strongly advised to add animal foods back into her diet after going vegetarian during IVF.
Since that day 5 years ago, I've completed additional studies in fertility and pregnancy nutrition, plant-based nutrition and seen hundreds of expecting plant-based mamas looking for support, guidance and a framework they can follow.
